Spotlight on Our New AV Apprenticeship

The Loop Lab was recently featured on WCVB Channel 5’s CityLine to highlight our new AV apprenticeship pilot in partnership with YouthBuild Just A Start and the Huntington Theatre. Marlon Orozco, our Senior Instructor and Supervising Producer, joined Nate Bae Kupel of YouthBuild Just A Start to share how this program is creating new career pathways for Boston youth.

A new chapter of the Media Arts Apprenticeship Program is coming this Fall!

We’re reimagining the Media Arts Apprenticeship Program, and the next iteration launches with the upcoming academic year. This refreshed version will introduce new opportunities, updated programming, and a deeper impact; all rooted in our mission to empower emerging creatives.

Applications aren’t open just yet, but you can be the first to know when they are.

A Team of Award Winners!

This award season has been incredibly rewarding for The Loop Lab and our talented alumni. We're proud to celebrate national recognition for two powerful projects created by our student filmmakers.

"Books to Bars," created by Andrés Osorno alongside Xavier Asamoah, received both a Bronze Telly Award and a Communicator Award, honoring its outstanding storytelling and social impact.

"Hip Hop and Literacy," produced by Tashawn Taylor, was also recognized with a Bronze Telly Award for its compelling message and creative vision.

These awards highlight the dedication, talent, and voices of our next generation of media makers.
